Production of malting quality grain requires limiting the application of nitrogen to 40 kg/ha when sowing and the application of phosphate‑potassium fertilisers — up to 40 kg/ha in autumn or spring. If the target is reaping a bumper harvest of feed quality grain with a high protein content (13% or more), the amount of nitrogenous fertilisers required increases up to 100‑120 kg/ha active substance and the amount of phosphate‑potassium — up to 60 kg/ha active substance

Resistance to loose and covered smut, root rot, net blotch, rhynchosporium scald and leaf rust; mid‑resistance to powdery mildew

Seed treatment against smuts and one fungicide treatment prior to ear emergence in order to protect the flag leaf and the ear are required.
