A mid-season ripening, lodging-resistant variety. The plant is of medium height. The kernel is large. Due to high disease resistance, the variety is suitable for organic farming.

Production according to the malting technology calls for limiting the application of nitrogenous fertilisers to 40 kg/ha upon sowing and the application of phosphate‑potassium fertilisers — to 40 kg/ha in autumn or spring. A bumper harvest of fodder barley with a high protein content (13% or more) calls for an increase in nitrogenous fertilisers up to 100‑120 kg/ha and the
amount of phosphate‑potassium — up to 60 kg/ha

Moderate resistance to loose and covered smut, moderate susceptibility to root rot and barley stripe mosaic virus

Obligatory seed treatment against smuts and one fungicide treatment prior to ear emergence in order to protect the flag leaf and the ear are required.
