Production of malting quality grain requires limiting the amount of Nitrogen applied upon sowing to 40 kg/ ha and the amount of phosphate‑potassium fertiliser applied in autumn and spring — to 40 kg/ha. A bumper harvest of fodder barley with a high protein content (13% or more) calls for increasing the amount of nitrogenous fertilisers up to 100‑120 kg/ha and the amount of phosphate‑potassium — up to 60 kg/ha active substance

Seed treatment against loose smut, covered smut and barley stripe mosaic virus and one fungicide treatment prior to ear emergence in order to protect the flag leaf and the ear are obligatory
