A mid-maturing variety of intensive type with high frost and winter hardiness. The plant is of medium height: 84–88 cm. The ear is cylinder-shaped of medium length with an average kernel weight. The variety stands out with high tillering capacity and produces up to 700–800 productive ears by harvest time. The shedding and sprouting resistance is high. The variety has displayed high drought resistance.

The variety responds well to rich soils, it is recommended primarily for highly and moderately rich soils after green and black fallows, legumes. It responds well to basal fertiliser application before sowing (taking into account the results of agrochemical survey) and split nitrogenous fertiliser application (total of 100 kg/ha active substance). The variety also delivers good results when grown in the stubble from previous crops.

The variety is resistant to stinking and loose smut, powdery mildew, brown rust and fusarium head blight; moderately susceptible to septoria spot.

Seed treatment with a fungicide against powdery mildew and neonicotinoid group insecticides is required. When grown in rich soils and favourable conditions with respect to humidity, two fungicide applications at the beginning of stem elongation (GS29 — 31) and before flowering (GS59 — 61) are recommended. The amount and number of insecticide treatments depends on the pest pressure.
