Development features
The variety is mid- to late maturing, the time from spring growth until the cut is 40–67 days, until seed maturity 84–111 days. The winter hardiness is high (99–100%). Drought and heat tolerance is high. It starts growing early in spring, earlier than other cereals. It is characterised by a high regrowth rate in spring and after cutting. The sward is erect, dense, the plants reach a height of 177 cm. The number of stems in an individual stand is up to 50–95. Uniform leafiness of 59.1%. It is distinguished by higher stand longevity than red fescue and orchard grass. It has a high grazing tolerance, with an intense dark green colour, that is retained during a short-term drought, which makes it popular as a turf crop.
